Volunteers ARE ALWAYS needed!!

Volunteers are needed throughout the year and parents are a vital part of making a child’s school experience positive and successful!

We greatly appreciate any and all volunteers. If you are new to volunteering, it’s helpful to know:

  • Most activities and events take less time than one might expect.

  • You choose which activities you want to be involved in throughout the year.

  • Volunteering is a great way to learn more about the school, meet other parents, spend time with your children and have fun!

If interested in helping out at GVMS, please reach out to any board member or click this link: VOLUNTEER FORM
Complete our online form where you can select any volunteer events/activities that interest you. Based on your selections, we will reach out to you with details. Many hands make light work!

Listed and described below are some volunteer opportunities offered at Great Valley Middle School.

Teacher & Staff Appreciation Dinner

The GVMS Teacher and Staff Appreciation Dinner in November 2023 was a huge success! Thank you to all who donated and volunteered!

Chaperones

Chaperones are needed for field trips including:

  • 8th Grade Amazing Race

These events rely on donations and parent volunteers. There are a number of experiences planned for students this year requiring the assistance of parent chaperones. The 8th grade Amazing Race is anticipated to need 80-100 volunteer chaperones with clearances. In anticipation of the need, families interested in supporting these experiences as a chaperone are encouraged to visit the following link and forward new or updated clearances to the school.
